EUPHORIA (European Plant Phenology Research in Aquatic Systems), is the fifth FreshProject initiative, organized by the European Federation for Freshwater Sciences (EFFS) and led by Early Career Researchers from diverse European countries, an exciting collaborative research project of Early Career Researchers dedicated to advancing freshwater science across Europe.
EUPHORIA offers a unique opportunity to:
Collaborate with emerging scientists across Europe
Gain hands-on experience in fieldwork, data collection, and citizen science initiatives
Contribute to a critical research effort focused on understanding how environmental variability impacts aquatic plant phenology and freshwater ecosystems
Our Information Meeting will be held via Zoom on November 26, 2024, at 17:00 CET. We’ll introduce the project goals and research methodology and address any questions you might have. We would love for you to join us as we embark on this impactful journey! Register here!
Eligible applicants are Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD students and early postdoctoral researchers (within 3 years of graduation) with an interest in freshwater ecology. No specific background in macrophytes is required—we’re looking for motivated participants eager to learn and engage. Participants should be able to conduct regular, short field trips from spring to autumn 2025 to a freshwater site with aquatic plants.
Applications are due by December 15, 2024—simply complete the Google Form here.
Don’t miss the chance to be part of a collaborative network of scientists working to understand Europe’s freshwater ecosystems!
